Admission policy and procedure of Eklavya Model Residential School, Shelti, functioning under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India and National Education Society for Tribal Students (NESTS)

Admissions to EMRS Shelti are governed strictly by the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs and NESTS. The school aims to provide quality, free, and residential education to Scheduled Tribe (ST) students.

All facilities including education, boarding, lodging, textbooks, uniforms, healthcare, and co-curricular support are provided free of cost as per EMRS norms.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicant must belong to the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category
Student must fulfill age criteria as prescribed by EMRS/NESTS
Admission is generally offered from Class VI onwards
Candidate must have passed the previous qualifying examination
Preference may be given as per government reservation rules

Admission Process

Publication of admission notification by competent authority
Submission of application form within stipulated time
Entrance examination / merit-based selection (as applicable)
Verification of original documents
Final admission approval and hostel allotment

Scheduled Tribe (ST) Caste Certificate
Date of Birth Certificate
Transfer Certificate from previous school
Marksheet of last class passed

Aadhaar Card of the student
Recent passport-size photographs
Residence / domicile certificate
Income certificate (if required by authority)
